Sony?s my Xperia Service Goes Global

Earlier this year, Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile launched a new service to Xperia users in Nordic countries, namely my Xperia, and it seems that the company is finally ready to push it worldwide.

Based on the feedback received from users during the testing period, the handset vendor has managed to finalize the service, it will make it available for all owners of 2012 and 2013 Xperia devices around the world in a matter of weeks, AndroidCentral notes.

The service was designed to provide users with the possibility to locate their devices in the event that they are lost or stolen.

?With my Xperia you can locate your device with a sound alert or display its position on a map. You can also erase data and/or lock your device if you lose it,? the company explains on its website.
