NEW YORK (AP) — The executive chairman and former president of ESPN is working on a business leadership memoir.
George Bodenheimer has a deal with the Business Plus imprint of Hachette Book Group for a book tentatively scheduled for the spring of 2015.
In a statement released Monday, Business Plus announced that the book currently is untitled and will be co-written by Don Phillips, whose previous works include "Lincoln on Leadership."
The 55-year-old Bodenheimer was president of ESPN from 1998-2011 and plans to write about ESPN's rise into a sports powerhouse. He'll discuss deals he worked on with the NFL and other sports organizations as well as ESPN personalities such as Keith Olbermann and Dick Vitale.
Bodenheimer was represented by Washington attorney Robert Barnett, whose clients range from President Barack Obama to Barbra Streisand.
