Since its inception in 1998, Tow to Go has safely removed more than 20,000 intoxicated drivers from the roads. It is FREE and available to both AAA members and non-members. It provides a confidential local ride within a 10-mile radius to a safe location and the AAA tow truck takes the vehicle and the driver home.
According to the Tow to Go Fact Sheet, the tow trucks can take up to two people home. If there are more people in your party, others will need to make other arrangements to get home safely. Also, you can?t make an appointment to use the Tow to Go service because it is designed to be used as a last resort. Thus, it is still wise to have a designated driver before you have your first drink.
Celebrate the New Year with your friends and family, but do it safely. If you have too much to drink (or know someone who has), do not get on the road (or allows them to get on the road) putting others at risk of a potentially deadly car accident.
